Ocean Club Marbella had Carl Cox Saturday July 18 — sold out, 1500 attendees, set 16:00-19:30. We were zone 2 (€140 including F&B credit). Setlist classic Carl Cox techno with three new Drumcode tracks mixed by Adam Beyer earlier that week. The 17:30 champagne spray was excessive per our tablemates — different from Pioneer DJ tradition but it worked for summer vibes.

Solomun Sunday July 26 — The last true mega-event before Feria Málaga
Solomun arrives Sunday July 26 at Ocean Club Marbella — sold out since July 14 (zones 1+2 plus stand-up). Zone 3 sunbeds are available for the last time this weekend (€220 including €40 F&B credit). What to expect: Solomun plays his 'Diynamic' deep-tech sound, set starts 16:00 and builds to 19:00 for the absolute peak. Our advice for anyone still wanting in: book zone 3 by Thursday 7/23 or try stand-up walk-in at 13:30 (first-come basis after reservation cutoff at 12:00).

Pastora Soler Saturday July 26 — Starlite flamenco night
Starlite Marbella has Pastora Soler Saturday July 26 — Spain's Eurovision-known flamenco vocalist, with a double set that turns into pure flamenco-puro (no pop crossover). Category 3 (€120) and category 4 (€65) are still available through Tuesday. We always go to the flamenco special — it's the most 'Spanish' moment of the Starlite season, and the silence-then-roar dynamic in a 4500-seat venue works powerfully.
- Set: 22:00-00:30 with a 20 min interval
- Arrival: before 21:30 for the best category-4 spots (not assigned, first-come)
- Dress code: smart-casual recommended, no formal required
- Tip: book Starlite Beach Club dinner beforehand — opens from 19:00
Trocadero Arena weekly programme
Trocadero Arena Marbella has a calmer week — no mega DJs but daily 14:30-19:30 sessions with regional DJs. For anyone wanting Solomun-week without mainstream: Trocadero Wednesday 7/22 (early afternoon) or Friday 7/24 is a good pre-weekend in-between. Sunbed €30 weekday, €50 weekend.
- Weekday sunbed: €30 including €10 F&B credit

Feria Málaga prep — Starts August 15
The biggest feria of the year is the Feria de Málaga — starts Saturday August 15 and runs through Saturday August 22. That's 9 days of feria mode through all of Málaga centre plus the Recinto Ferial at Cortijo de Torres. For anyone planning to go: hotels in the centre (Hotel Vincci, Hotel AC) are still 70% available, but sold out from August 1. Book this week.

Twelve Days to Feria Málaga: What We Booked and What's Still Possible
Today is day-12 before Feria de Málaga 2026. Málaga centre hotels: 90% booked since last Thursday. But options remain — if you move this week. Here's what we booked yesterday and what's still possible. What we booked: Friday 8/14 through Monday 8/17 in the centre. Booked for Feria de Málaga: three nights August 14-17 at Hotel Vincci Selección Posada del Patio (€225/night, breakfast included). Friday 14/8 14:00 arrival, Friday evening quiet in Mercado Atarazanas area, Saturday 15/8 main opening 14:00, Sunday 16/8 Romería plus lunch, Monday 17/8 day-feria before we drive back. Reason for this pick: Vincci is 5 min walk from Calle Larios and the Cortijo de Torres bus stop. Hotel Vincci Selección: €225/night through 17/8 Arrival tip: Friday 14/8 train from Marbella 11:30 → Málaga 12:50 (€8 one-way) Avoid: Hotel Larios Centro or Hotel AC Málaga Palacio — we find them overpriced for Feria peak What's still possible this week — Four hotel recommendations. Checked this morning for 14-22 August availability in Málaga centre: Hotel del Pintor (Calle Álamos): 60% still available, €165-220/night — small, 4-star, 3 min walk to Calle Larios. Book this week. Petit Palace Plaza Málaga: 40% still available, €195-260/night — boutique, modern, 1 min walk to Plaza Constitución. Book before Friday 8/8. The night-feria happens at Cortijo de Torres, 4 km south of the centre. During Feria, free shuttle buses run continuously from Plaza de la Constitución from 21:00 until 04:30. No taxi needed. We have planned two evenings in Cortijo (Saturday 15/8 and Thursday 20/8) plus Sunday 16/8 day-feria in the centre. Feria Estepona opens Wednesday, Starlite headliners are Tom Jones + Jamie Cullum, and beach club Saturdays between July 7 and 26 see no fewer than six A-list DJs. Here's what's on, what to book, and what we're doing tomorrow. Feria Estepona — Wednesday July 1 through Monday July 7. Feria de Estepona kicks off Wednesday evening July 1 — the second big feria of the year (after Marbella in June).
